
Jacqueline Marie is a multidisciplinary performing artist holding her Bachelor of Arts (TWU) and Masters of Fine Arts (University of Calgary) in theatre. She has performed in professional theatre and dance across Canada, the USA and Europe.
Alongside her stage work she has appeared in Film, TV, and Commercials and is a full member of UBCP/ACTRA.
Jacqueline also works as a director and choreographer with highlights including: learning aerial work for Peter Pan, choreographing an ensemble on 20′ scaffolding in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure and assistant directing a cast of 200 at the 2500 seat Badlands Amphitheatre .
With a love of the classical canon performance highlights have included playing Kate in Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. Her overlap of movement and theatre have also led to devised physical theatre such as InnerFish’s House at the End of the Road, and co-founding Les Petites Taquines (LPT) Dance Theatre. In 2015 Jacqueline had the opportunity to represent Canada in a devised physical theatre piece – Impulse – at the Prague Quadrennial in Czechia.
As a coach Jacqueline specializes in speech and movement. Her MFA graduate research was awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Grant.
She has had the pleasure of teaching in her speciality at a variety of universities across Western Canada. She also coaches voice and speech clients from Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the UK.
